Going out and socialising when you are trying to lose weight can be tricky. Whether you are trying to get healthier for slimmer legs or fit into your favourite dress. Peer pressure is real and challenging and comes with so many temptations.
The fear is unknown. you and I are thinking, ‘whats everyone drinking tonight? What,s everyone going to eat tonight? What temptations will there be that go against my goals?’
For most people, behaviours like drinking, eating out, and ‘off plan foods’ are more tempting than when at home, and so we look to skip social get togethers to go for our plas and goals.
There’s nothing wrong with self-care and relaxation at home, you can however still be social and reach your goals.
However here, I will give our some tips for those of you that are going out.
1.Water
Water will help you feel full and aid your digestion. YOU may also have strong boundaries and say no to drinking, or even, just have one. Whatever you do decide to do, make sure you have a glass of water to EVERY alcholic drink you do have, because it will make you go to the bathroom regularly keeping you from being dehydrated. Also all that added time going to the bathroom will save you money and volume of alcohol consumption due to all the water you drink and pit stops you make heading over there!
2. My Fitness Pal
Get on to my fitness pal and log in your calories and know your desired calorie consumption for your desired weight or shape, that way you will know if you are overeating and drinking. It is an easy way to stay on track.
3. Whats app photo’s
You can also use your personal trainer as your accountability coach by sending picture over of everything you eat or drink, this has worked for countless clients and keeps you mindful.
4 Freinds and activities
It is important to have friends that are healthy and also like to do daytime activities.
