first of all every foundation is absolute to a building holding itself together as is the spine to the body

so if your train in a way that doesn’t strengthen your spine, somethings wrong

you may look good but you wont be truly strong and will have constant pain and issues

once you get strong you wont have to worry about aesthetics because you can do any activity in addition

you can train in any style you want and you can add stuff for the sheer joy or aesthetics

i believe for the bare minimum movements for training i would stick squats, deadlifts and bent over rows in there and then simply add moves to the results you want to get
