If you’re working in the office and it doesn’t suit you to get up first thing in the morning or you’re drained at the end of the day then it makes sense to make use of your lunch break and re-energise yourself for the second half of your day. Going to the gym at lunch time is a great mental break from the day, whether you are doing a strength workout or a cardio workout, whether it’s indoors or outdoors. If you have been stuck in the office, seated most likely then you have been in a biomechanically awkward position for breathing deeply, mobility and having good blood flow in your body reducing your ability to detoxify. Going for a workout will get you experiencing your whole body, it will get you to be internal and in tune with yourself and it gets you away from being too mental, literally too much in your head, your body, your breath, your posture and clear thoughts. I’m a believer that feeling good is always a stronger and better place then feeling bad no matter what career path or task you choose. Regularly movement is what the body crave and unfortunately our society isn’t really set up to facilitate that so we need to create those moments for ourselves. So why not get out of the office this lunch time, go for a walk, go to the gym to experience greater clarity and a stronger, more mobile you.
