I’ve been doing a lot of partial reps recently and they are great, not just for bodybuilders and fitness models, but even for people who want to shape up, athletes and strength athletes. The problem is most people mistake bad form for a partial rep.
A partial rep is an exercise broken down into a portion of the movement, either the beginning, the middle or the end of the motion and its executed to get stronger and even more shape in that portion.
It’s a great technique and the priority here is have the RIGHT technique. Technique to hit the muscles you’re focusing on, technique on the execution of the movement and the body moving the weight in line with tension and sheer intensity.
Partial reps can be ideal to improve sports performance, shape, strength, muscle and tone, it’s a no brainer!
