core for fitness
I go to gymbox in victoria street, it helps me mix up my workouts and i train with a trainer Beau to work on handstands, dips, chin-ups and gymnastics and bodyweight movements and what I’ve noticed is looking at a lot of the guys i dont see much core work being done, it looks like a lot of the focus is on building major muscles through a very limited range of movements, e.g. bench press, curls or whats currently in the snatch and some olympic lifts…
I’ve been training with one of my trainers Julian Thomas former 200 meter sprinter racing against Usain Bolt and he gives me a hell of a lot of core and the aha clicked into my head just how important all this core and bodyweight stuff really is… it keeps your body in balance, it firms your stomach, stimulates whole body workouts, gets you strong as hell, stimulates your internal organs and gets your heart rate up when done effectively, also having a strong core looks hot and sexy… a good core looks athletic and is quite a foundational structure to health.. a strong core is a strong and beautiful life..
try it out, especially for the guys out there…as for the girls keep it up!
